Hitotsubashi Institute of Advanced Study (HIAS) and METI’s Small and Medium Enterprise Agency signed an agreement on partnership and cooperation in promoting regional and SME policy research on December 22, 2020.

Under this agreement, we aim to contribute to the development of EBPM (Evidence-based policy making) in Japan’s regional and SME policies through the promotion of research based on administrative issues and needs as well as advanced research on regional economy and SMEs, by utilizing statistical and administrative data offered by Small and Medium Enterprise Agency.
